Job Search Clinic at BSC, March 1

Focused upon building a career foundation, a "Job Search Clinic" will be presented at Bluefield State College, March 1 (10 a.m.-noon). The program, which will be hosted in the Hebert Gallery/BSC Student Union, is sponsored by the BSC Student Support Services and Career Planning & Placement offices, along with Dr. Debbie Halsey-Hunter, Professor of Secretarial Science at BSC.

The program's four components will concentrate upon resume preparation (directed by Ms. Brenda Persin/Business Division, Southwest Virginia Community College); the job interview (directed by Mr. Harry Hull/Human Resource Director, Turner Vision); a delineation between what's legal to ask and unlawful to ask during a job interview (directed by Ms. Kay Bayless, attorney from the firm of Bayless & McFadden); and how to dress for success (narrated by Ms. Kathy Epperly/Director, BSC Student Support Services program).

BSC students will serve as models during the "dress for success" portion of the program.

The Job Search Clinic is open to the public, free of charge. Additional information may be obtained by calling (304) 327-4097.
