Jeremy Stover, son of Mary and Daniel Stover of Bluefield, WV, has been selected as the
outstanding freshman in Engineering Technology and Computer Science at Bluefield State College
for the 1999-2000 academic year. He will receive the "Claude B. Dalton Award" in recognition of his
outstanding academic performance.
Stover, a 1999 graduate of Graham High School, has been cited by BSC faculty for his excellent problem-solving skills. Dr. Lewis Foster noted Stover's excellence in physics, and Professor Lionel Craddock saluted Stover's outstanding programming logic.
Professor Dalton taught mathematics to Engineering Technology and Computer Science students at BSC for more than 20 years. He was consistently recognized for his ability to reach a broad cross-section of the freshmen students in mathematics. "Graduates frequently attest to the very positive difference Professor Dalton made in their success in college," noted Frank Hart, BSC Division Chair/Engineering Technology and Computer Science.
