Last May, NetServ and BSC entered into a partnership, whose initial activity was the collaborative offering of the Microsoft Office User Specialist program.
"Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE 2000) is the premier certification for professionals who analyze, design, and implement the infrastructure for business solutions based on the Windows 2000 platform and the Microsoft server software," noted Greg Coleman, NetServ President.
"The MCSE 2000 program consists of a minimum of seven exams (four Core and three elective), each of which tests the candidates' skills in Installation, Administration, Optimization, Security, and Troubleshooting. Upon successful completion of any one of the Core or Elective exams, the candidate receives the Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) Certification. When an MCSE candidate successfully completes all seven exams, he/she becomes a "Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer," Coleman added. "MCSE certification indicates that the candidate is a technical leader with the ability to successfully implement Microsoft solutions."
Coleman joined BSC President Dr. Robert Moore during brief ceremonies officially introducing the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer program's availability at BSC's Beckley and Bluefield campuses.
"BSC's Center fo -r Economic Enhancement provides customized training for businesses, and this expanding partnership with NetServ is a very compatible match between a pair of organizations with missions of cultivating career-appropriate skills within this region's workforce," Moore said.
