(BLUEFIELD)–The Bluefield State College Jazz Ensemble will present its
annual Winter Concert on Monday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. in the Basic
Science Auditorium. The event is open to the public, free of charge.
The Ensemble is a combination of area musicians dedicated to the performance of the finest jazz arrangements and the traditional "big band" sound. Many of the ensemble's musicians have been with the band for most of its 30 years. They rehearse one night a week throughout the year.
The BSC Jazz Ensemble has performed throughout the Virginias and North
Carolina, including a performance at the inaugural ball of former
Virginia Governor Gerald Baliles.
