Halsey-Hunter Participates in
Southern Business Education Association Convention

(BLUEFIELD)–Dr. Debbie Halsey-Hunter, Interim Chair/Division of Business-Bluefield State College, recently attended the Southern Business Education Association Convention in Myrtle Beach, SC. SBEA membership includes more than 2600 business educators from 12 states.

Nationally recognized speaker Mark Snyder delivered the keynote address, entitled "Skills 2002--Employer Expectations for the 21st Century Workforce." The Honorable Brooks P. Coleman, Jr., a member of the Georgia House of Representatives, also addressed conference attendees.

Specific points of emphasis during the convention included technology workshops on Microsoft XP software, Visual Basic, Adobe Photoshop, Macromedia Dreamweaver and Adobe Pagemaker. Interest sessions such as Cyber Ethics, Sports & Entertainment Marketing, and E-Commerce also attracted significant attention.
