National Youth Sports Program Returns to BSC

(BLUEFIELD)–The highly-acclaimed National Youth Sports Program summer camp for disadvantaged area youth, ages 10-16, will begin its fourth season at Bluefield State College, June 15 with orientation and registration at the Ned Shott P.E. Building on BSC's Bluefield campus.. Physical exams for program participants will be held on June 11 and 13, 10 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Ned Shott P.E. Building.

The five-week program, which is offered free-of-charge for qualifying students, provides youthful participants with opportunities to receive instruction in swimming, tennis, basketball, football, soccer, volleyball, cooperative games, math & science, and drug/alcohol education.

The program runs on a Monday through Friday basis, June 17-July 22 (excluding July 4). Campers will receive breakfast, at least two hours of activity per day, and lunch, along with a free physical examination.
