Charlotte Mansfield Named BSC's
"Outstanding Nursing Student"
for 2002

(BLUEFIELD)–Charlotte Mansfield, an Associate Degree Nursing student at Bluefield State College, received the College's "Outstanding Nursing Student Award" for 2002. The award is presented to a nursing student who excels academically and through community service.

Mansfield, a Hinton, WV resident, is a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and was selected for inclusion among "Who's Who Among American College Students." She is a tutor/mentor for the Student Support Services program at BSC.

Richard Bezjak, Program Director/Community Hospices of America, presented the award. Mansfield received a plaque and a stethoscope in recognition of her achievement. Following graduation on May 10, she plans to be an emergency room nurse at the Toledo (OH) Level I Trauma Center.
