| (BLUEFIELD)–Charlotte Mansfield, an Associate Degree Nursing student at Bluefield State College, received the College's "Outstanding Nursing Student Award" for 2002. The award is presented to a nursing student who excels academically and through community service. |
Mansfield, a Hinton, WV resident, is a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and was selected for inclusion among "Who's Who Among American College Students." She is a tutor/mentor for the Student Support Services program at BSC.
Richard Bezjak, Program Director/Community Hospices of America, presented the award. Mansfield received a plaque and a stethoscope in recognition of her achievement. Following graduation on May 10, she plans to be an emergency room nurse at the Toledo (OH) Level I Trauma Center.
