BSC School Nurse Program Offered

(BLUEFIELD)–The Department of Nursing at Bluefield State College will offer school nursing courses during the Spring 2003 Semester. Completion of the courses, "Foundations and Principles of School Health Nursing," and "School Nurse Practicum," and the successful completion of the Pre-Professional Skills Test allows a Registered Nurse with a Baccalaureate of Science/Nursing (BSN) degree to apply for state endorsement as a school nurse in West Virginia.

The School Nurse program is approved by the West Virginia Department of Education and is open to any student with "Senior standing" in the BSC BSN program, or individuals who are BSN graduates and hold a current West Virginia RN license. Individuals can register for these courses as special students.

Additional information about the School Nurse program can be obtained by calling (304) 327-4480 or (304) 327-4139.
