The workshop will provide specialized technical assistance to persons who previously submitted proposals to the program, along with individuals who have demonstrated a genuine interest in pursuing funding. "The assistance provided will be tailored to the specific needs of each proposal to increase its competitiveness for funding," Mia Burnett (HRSA Technical Assistance Center Assistant Manager) explained. "One-on-one mentoring relationships, linking faculty members with persons competent to provide the specialized assistance will be a focal point of the workshop."
Through its Minority Health Institute, BSC has been active in seeking funding to underwrite the cost of programs designed to close a health gap that exists, when comparing the rate of infant mortality, cancer, heart disease, and stroke among African Americans and Whites.

Health Center, and Minority Health Institute have become Level One
partners for the federal agency's "Take a Loved One to the Doctor Day,"
