Kids Kollge at BSC Begins July 14

(BLUEFIELD) Is your child interested in how kids from other countries live, dress, or eat? Would they like to hunt for dinosaur bones or explore the red planet of Mars? Perhaps they are interested in learning more about safe and fun sites in cyber space or you would like for them to learn ways to make math fun. If so, Kids Kollege at Bluefield State College is just the type of summer program you and your children are looking for.

Now in its ninth year of being offered, Kids Kollege is a summer enrichment program offered by the BSC Center for Economic Enhancement. This year the program will be presented at Bluefield State College during two one week sessions, July 14-18 and August 4-8, for students in grades 1 6. Kids Kollege provides students the opportunity to pursue a particular area of interest, or to build skills in another area.

Instructors strive to make learning a relaxing and fun experience for students. All classes have a limited enrollment of 20 students, and pre-registration is required. Students will be enrolled in the grade level matching that of their next school year

Class offerings during this years sessions include: "Spanish for Kids," "All About Clouds," "Cyber Explorer," "Dinosaur Days," "Solid Gold Math," Rainforest Expedition and ?Mars Exploration." Recreational sessions including swimming, game day, and visits to the Yakkity Yak Playground and Crab Orchard Museum are planned for each week, along with a snack time and lunch each day.
