June Oblinger Shott (left) recently presented a $10,000 gift to Bluefield State College President Dr. Albert Walker to provide scholarship assistance to deserving BSC students. The gift was given through the Neighborhood Investment Program coordinated by the BSC Institutional Development & Advancement.

June Oblinger Shott of Bluefield recently presented a gift of $10,000 to Bluefield State College for scholarship support. The gift, received by BSC President Dr. Albert Walker during a brief ceremony at the College, was directed through the Neighborhood Investment Program at BSC.

"We are profoundly grateful for the generosity of Mrs. Shott," noted Dr. Walker, "Her continuing support through this gift will create academic opportunities for many students who might not otherwise have the resources to attend BSC."
