Machine Tools Program at Caldwell Campus, GVCNRCTC

Michael Shawver of Meadow Bridge uses one of the tools used in the Machine Tool Technology program at the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College's Caldwell campus shop building.

This program will be offering instruction in Machine Tool Technology I, Machine Tool Technology II, Topics in Machine Tool Operations and Select Topics in Machine Tool Skills during the spring semester which begins in January at GVCNRCTC.

In a related program of study, the Mechanical Engineering Technology courses offered in the spring semester will include Introduction to Computer Aided Drafting (Web-DL), CNC Mill G- Code Programming; CNC Turn G-Code Programming; Basic of CNC Programming; CNC Maintenance; Blueprint Reading (Web-DL), and Inter Computer Aided Drafting (Web-DL).

These programs are offered through the GVCNRCTC through its partnership with the Monroe County Manufacturing Assistance Center which is a division of the Monroe County Vocational Technical Center and is directed by David Sizemore of Gap Mills.
