(BLUEFIELD)--A recent luncheon and program recognized student participants in the Bluefield State College Honors Program. Twelve Honors Program participants joined faculty, staff, and administrators during the activity on the Bluefield campus of BSC.
The students, from the Bluefield and New River Community & Technical College campuses of BSC, maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.75 and are among the top 3% academically of all students at the College.
This year's Honors Program members include O'Neil Carty, Danielle Hawes, Juli Hilson, and Derek Neal of Bluefield, WV, Jesse Farmer and Andrea Thomason of Princeton, WV, Tabatha Frazier of Lindside, WV, Dana Cochran of Bramwell, WV, Freddie Adkins of Cool Ridge, WV, Victoria Nunley of Tazewell, VA, Zeshan Qayyum from Pakistan, and Anubhaw Bhushan from India.
Later this month, Honors Program scholars will attend a panel discussion on World War II events and experiences, and they will take part in a community service project and trip.
