The representatives include Wanda Johnson of the Greenbrier Valley Campus, Connie Argento of the Nicholas County Campus; Kenny Mandeville of the Bluefield Campus and Michael Palm, director of Student Services for NRCTC.

Schools and college fairs where students can learn about the newest community college in the state are being held at Braxton County, Webster County, Greenbrier West, Summers County, Mount Hope, Oak Hill, Greenbrier East, Nicholas County, Richwood, Pocahontas County, James Monroe, Midland Trail, Meadow Bridge, Clay County, Fayetteville, and Pocahontas County high schools as well as the Raleigh County College Fair and the Mercer County College Fair.

"We hope the high school students realize that we have a new name, but we are ‘old' in the sense that NRCTC is a continuation of the former Nicholas County campus of Glenville State, that Beckley Campus, Bluefield Campus and the Greenbrier Valley Campus are the continuation of the former campuses of Bluefield State College," Palm noted.

In addition to the College Day visits, the NRCTC staff members welcome an invitation to speak to any college preparatory group of students in the area served by either of the four campuses.

"And, we invite any prospective student to visit our campuses at anytime to learn how New River can play a role in their future," Palm concluded.
