(BLUEFIELD)--More than a dozen events highlight this year's homecoming celebration at Bluefield State College, October 1-4. Utilizing the theme "Medieval Times," Homecoming 2003 is sponsored by the BSC Student Government Association and the BSC Campus Life office. On October 1-2, students will vote on homecoming candidates. An October 1 campus carnival (10 a.m.-2 p.m.) And an All-Campus picnic (11 a.m.-1 p.m.) at the Harris-Jefferson Student Center precede a 6 p.m. Homecoming Parade later that day.
On October 2, "School Spirit Day" will be celebrated, with a 4 p.m. game involving the College's intercollegiate baseball and softball teams at Higginbotham Field.
Big Blues and Lady Blues baseball and softball intrasquad games will be spotlighted on October 3, begining at 2 p.m. at Higginbotham Field, with a 7:30 p.m. Homecoming Coronation and 9:30 p.m. Homecoming Dance later that evening at the East River Mountain Inn.
The annual Founder's Day Luncheon will take place on October 4 at the Harris-Jefferson Student Center cafeteria. Throughout the week, BSC students, faculty, staff, and the community are invited to view special displays and archives presentations at the Hardway Library.
