GVCNRCTC Ranked Number Two in Real Estate Examination

Of the 23 post secondary schools in West Virginia offering the mandatory pre-licensing preparation for the licensing examination, Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College ranks number two. Only Jefferson County Board of Education ranks higher.

Of the 23, 16 had a total of 15 or more students to sit for the salesperson examination during the July 1, 2002-June 30, 2003, year. The ranking is based on the percentage of students passing the salesperson examination during that year.

The credit is do to Martha Hilton, ABR, CRS, GRI, of Lewisburg who serves as instructor for the Real Estates classes offered at the GVC.

Of the remaining 15, Berkley County Adult/Community Education ranked seventh; West Virginia Northern Community College, ninth, Monongalia Technical Education Center, 12th; West Virginia University Parkersburg, 13th and Tyree School of Real Estate, 15th.

"While the schedule for Real Estate classes at the Greenbrier Valley Campus has yet to be announced for the 2004-05 college year, we will be offering the classes on a ‘what is needed' basis," says Roger Griffith, director of the GVCNRCTC.

Information on programs offered by the GVCNRCTC can be obtained by telephoning 304- 647-6560 or visiting or writing the offices of the GVC at 101 Church Street, Lewisburg, 24901.
