Students in the 2004 Bluefield State College Radiologic Technology graduating class were honored during a recent ceremony at the College. BSC RadTech program director Melissa Haye has confirmed that 100%of the students who sought employment after graduation in May, 2004 were employed, as of August 1. "They are employed in areas including general radiography, MRI, Radiation Therapy, and Computerized Tomography," she said. One student was selected to attend the University of Virginia’s Magnetic Resonance Imaging Program to continue her education.

The BSC RadTech program is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), having received official notification that it had been awarded continuing national accreditation of eight years from JRCERT in October, 2001. JRCERT is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as the national agency for the accreditation of educational programs for the radiographer and radiation therapist, and is responsible for all accreditation actions.
