The Computer Science department is offering three sections of Computers and Society 102, including one class which will be taught via the World Wide Web and Distance Learning facilities at the GVC in partnership with the Kentucky Community and Technical College System.
Other classes offered through the Computer Science department include PC Software Applications and Web Programming.
Through the Business department, Word Processing and the Internet, Spreadsheets and Databases, Business Law and the Legal Environment, Desktop Publishing and Presentations, Business and Electronic Communications and Quantitative Techniques in Business are the courses being offered for the spring semester.
"Some of these classes will be offered on a Friday night/Saturday schedule while others are part of the regular day and evening class schedule," notes Lizabeth Rogers who heads the Professional Office Systems Technology program on the GVC. She adds, "This gives the students a choice as to when are the best times to take the various classes according to the student's work and home schedules."

All classes and courses of study offered on the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College are fully accredited and transferable to any other fully accredited college or university, notes Roger Dale Griffith, director of the GVCNRCTC.
Registration for the second semester will be Jan. 13-14 with classes beginning Jan. 18, except for the Real Estate Pre-Licensing course which begins Jan. 4 at 7 p.m. in the Hollowell Auditorium on the first floor of Greenbrier Hall.
