Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society
in Business Administration
to be Established at BSC

(BLUEFIELD)--Bluefield State College has received permission to establish a College chapter of Delta Mu Delta, the National Honor Society in Business Administration. BSC qualified for consideration because it holds American College of Business & Professional Schools (ACBSP) business program accreditation.

A ceremony during which 31 BSC baccalaureate business division students will be accepted into chapter membership will serve as the founding initiation of the BSC chapter and will take place on March 31 at the College. "Becoming a member of Delta Mu Delta is an honor indicative of earnest, intelligent purpose, and rewarding achievement, the goals of students in business administration," noted Dr. Debbie Halsey-Hunter, Dean/BSC School of Business. Delta Mu Delta regional advisor Dr. Larry Lynch will address the inductees during the March 31 ceremony.

"Students who are members of Delta Mu Delta will certainly benefit from the experience," Dr. Halsey-Hunter added. "Membership is a symbol of the students' readiness to measure up to the responsibilities of the future. It is recognized by employer representatives who recruit graduates for careers in business and related fields.

Bluefield State College and West Liberty State College are the only West Virginia institutions of higher education that have established chapters of Delta Mu Delta.
