Program Set to Outline Bachelor Degree at GVCNRCTC

Greenbrier Valley area residents who are interested in hearing about the possibility of earning a bachelor's degree without leaving the area are invited to a public program on the Regents Bachelor of Arts program at the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College.

Dr. Don Smith, coordinator of the RBA program at Bluefield State College, will be in Room 307 of Greenbrier Hall, the main office and classroom building for the GVCNRCTC to explain the procedure for entering the RBA program on Jan. 28 at 5 p.m. and Jan. 29 at 9 a.m.

"This is an excellent opportunity for area residents who have taken some classes, workshops, attended seminars and other educational programs through their work, civic activity and/or community and school involvement to get the credit they have earned," explains Michael Palm, director of Students Services for the NRCTC. "If anyone has ever thought about earning a bachelor's degree, but could not afford to go out of the area, this is the program to discover."

"Those attending are under no obligation to GVCNRCTC or BSC as this is strictly just an informational program," he added.

For further information on the Jan. 28 or 29 programs, contact Palm at 304-647-6565 or write or visit his office in Greenbrier Hall at 101 Church Street, Lewisburg, 24901.
