(Bluefield)—Sandra Kay Thompson, Bluefield State College Assistant Professor of Nursing, has been selected for inclusion in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers. She received official notification from a spokesperson for the prestigious publication earlier this month.
Park H. Davis, Chairman/National Academic Affairs for Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers, noted that only 5% of all teachers are honored in each edition of the publication. “You have been selected for this honor because you ‘made a difference’ in the life of one of your former students,” Davis stated. Faculty are nominated by students who have been recognized for excellence by inclusion in a Who’s Who scholastic or collegiate publication.
Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers was first published in 1990. The volume became an annual publication in 2004 and will release its ninth edition later this year.
