GVAA Groups Plans Free, Public Sky Party April 15

The first star watching party of the spring has been scheduled for April 15 at 8 p.m. at Dorrie Miller Park in Lewisburg by the Greenbrier Valley Astronomy Association.

“The public is invited and it is a free family type activity,” says Michael Rossolini who serves as spokesman for the group which is an outgrowth of the Astronomy classes taught at the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College.

A “just in case it is cloudy” alternate date is set for April 16. The park is located in northwest Lewisburg near the Bolling Community Center. For further information, visit the group’s wed site at www.wvsky.org. or telephone 304-645-7318 or 497-2135.

Previous star parties have been held successfully in Williamsburg and White Sulphur Springs by the GVAA.
