Additional Students Named to NRCTC President's, Dean's Lists

Additional students from all four campuses of New River Community and Technical College have received recognition on the President’s and Dean’s List for the fall semester, as a result of the final reporting of grades.

To qualify for the President’s List, a student must be a degree seeking, carry a minimum of 12 semester hours, excluding any developmental level classes, earn a grade point average of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale and have no D or F grade.

Newly announced honorees on the President’s List are Susan L. Wikins, Hillsboro; Elizabeth Huffman, Peterstown; Marilyn Kiddle, Hinton; Pamela Renick, Williamsburg; and Dwight Backus, Crawley.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, the students must earn a 3.25 grade point average on a 4.0 scale, carry at least 12 semester hours, excluding any developmental level classes, and fail no classes.

Newly announced honorees on the Dean’s List are Stephen Grose Jr. of Belva; Dustin McVey, Ansted; Mark Sanson, Camden on Gauley; Thomas Wood, Ronceverte; Maria Wood, Lewisburg; Brian Williams, Lewisburg; Larry Weatherly Jr., Glen Lyn, Va.; Sara Broyles, Princeton; Heather Nutter, Quinwood; and John Woodrum, Caldwell.

As WV’s newest college, New River Community and Technical College serves some 1,800 students from the Beckley campus in the Harper Industrial Park, the Bluefield campus at Bluefield State College, the Greenbrier Valley campus in Lewisburg and the Nicholas County campus in Summersville and is the local college for a 10 county region of central and southern WV as well as the neighboring Virginia counties.
