Five Students From Wisconsin, Iowa,
Indiana Study at GVCNRCTC Classes

 

          Five students representing three states have completed a week long seminar at the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College and have returned to their major employers with  the knowledge and skills of computer driven machinery in the manufacturing process.

           David Sizemore who operates the Monroe County Manufacturing Assistance Center and coordinates the Machine Tool Technology program of study at GVCNRCTC, served as instructor for the week for Jim Nordseth of Colgate, Wi., Merle Spargur of Wind Lakes, Wi.; and Mo Lubbad of Colgate, all employed with Harley Davidson Inc. in Milwaukee, Wi.. and Alan Overton, Noblesville, In., with Daimler Chrysler; and Tom Olsen of Cedar Falls, Ia., who is with John Deere.

           Classes offered beginning January 17 in the Machine Tool Technology course of study are Machine Tool Technology I and II; Topics in Machine Tool Operations, Select Topics in Machine Tool Skills (Welding), Blueprint Reading Mechanical Systems, Beginning Computer Aided Drafting; Intermediate Computer Aided Drafting, and Advanced Computer Aided Drafting.
