Students have come from throughout the United States and from Canada and Mexico to attend week long workshops at the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College through its partnership with the Monroe County Manufacturing Assistance Center of the Monroe County Technical Center.
But, this week, Brian Smith of Lewisburg, manufacturing technician for B.F. Goodrich Corp in Union, joined Dave Hayden of Gaithersburg, Md., in a week long workshop on the Greenbrier Valley Campus. Conducted by David Sizemore of MC-MAC, the classes are held in the Annex Building of GVCNRCTC on McElhenney Drive in Lewisburg.
The partnership between GVCNRCTC and MC-MAC has been approved through the Monroe County Board of Education and the Board of Governors of NRCTC.
