In what has become a Fourth of July tradition, the West Virginia Jazz Orchestra presented a 90 minute concert on the lawn of the Greenbrier Valley Campus of New River Community and Technical College July 3.
Sponsored by the Greenbrier Valley Theatre, the America Federation of Musicians Local 674, the Music Performance Fund, and hosted by the GVCNRCTC, a crowd of several hundred heard the concert as the WVJO performed beneath the “Greenbrier Ginkgo,” the largest such tree on public property in the state.
Other events held annually on the campus include some of the activities that are a part of “ Taste of Our Towns,” the annual fall fund raising project of Carnegie Hall WV and the Battle of Lewisburg Reenactment held in May each year.
