(Bluefield)—Senior students in the Baccalaureate Nursing (BSN) Program at Bluefield State College will offer a series of wellness-related presentations at the Greater Bluefield Community Center, 703 College Avenue, Bluefield, WV throughout November. The thirty-minute programs are provided free of charge to attendees. Beth Pritchett, Director/BSC’s RN to BSN Program, noted, “These projects give our students an opportunity to connect with the community and to collaborate with the Greater Bluefield Community Center. We’re excited about the potential for a collaborative relationship with GBCC.”
The program schedule: November 1—Nutrition; November 8—Exercise; November 15—Warning Signs of Stroke/Stroke Prevention, and; November 29—Caution: Warning Signs of Cancer. Each program begins at 1 p.m. and includes a question-and-answer session. BSC BSN students, all of whom are Registered Nurses, will provide free blood pressure checks for participants following the programs.
