GVCNRCTC Joins in Tastes of our Towns to Benefit Carnegie Hall

Not only is the well known “Tastes of Our Towns” food festival known for its outstanding variety of food, but the festival which benefits Carnegie Hall WV also serves as an opportunity for area residents to learn what New River Community and Technical College has to offer.

While most of Greenbrier Hall, the main office and classroom building for the Greenbrier Valley Campus of NRCTC is not open to the public on Oct. 8, the day of TOOT, due to the administration of the Scholastic Aptitude Tests, the front reception area on the second floor will be open 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.and will be fully stocked with information concerning the degree and certificate programs offered by the state’s newest, fully accredited community and technical college.

“We hope those attending “TOOT” will take the opportunity to climb the front steps of Greenbrier Hall and visit our display,” notes Roger Griffith, director of the Greenbrier Valley Campus of NRCTC. He added that the “Students, faculty, administration, and staff of the GVCNRCTC is pleased to share the Academy Park area with the TOOT activities which will benefit Carnegie Hall WV.”

The TOOT activities are in the streets and parking areas of Lewisburg in addition to be on the lawn of Academy Park which is the front lawn shared by Carnegie Hall, the GVCNRCTC, and the North House Museum of the Greenbrier Historical Society.
