Hallman-Warner Delivers
"Ethics in Corrections" Presentation
at State Department of Corrections Conference

(Bluefield)—Bluefield State College faculty member Shelia Hallman-Warner was a featured speaker at the recent West Virginia Division of Corrections Leadership Training Conference at North Bend State Park. Hallman-Warner, an Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice at BSC, spoke about “Ethics in Corrections.”

Hallman-Warner’s participation in the conference came at the request of State Division of Corrections Commissioner Jim Rubenstein. “The Commissioner is to be commended for his commitment to provide ethics training to his staff,” Hallman-Warner observed. “Organizations must take responsibility for creating a climate that values and reinforces ethical conduct.”

During her multimedia program, Hallman-Warner noted that ethics is an integral part of all organizations because it heightens awareness and sensitivity to important issues while concurrently diminishing the likelihood of corruption and improper behavior in the workplace.
