Attends American Jail
Association Conference & Expo

( Bluefield)—For the ninth consecutive year, students in the Bluefield State College Criminal Justice Club attended the annual American Jail Association (AJA) Training Conference and Jail Expo. They viewed more than 800 exhibits at this year’s event in Salt Lake City, UT.

“Our students networked with correctional professionals from around the country, attended workshops on issues pertinent to jails, and attended an exposition showcasing the latest wares and technology in the field,” noted Shelia Hallman-Warner, Assistant Professor and Criminal Justice Club Advisor.

“The AJA Conference is a great opportunity for students to learn from workshops conducted by experts and, at the same, time, meet new people interested in the field and gain insight from their experiences,” observed BSC student Roger Collins.
