BSC Interim V.P. John Cardwell
Eelected as State Representative for
WV ACT State Organization

( Bluefield)—Bluefield State College administrator John Cardwell has been elected as the new state representative for the West Virginia ACT state organization. Cardwell, Interim Vice President for Student Affairs & Enrollment Management at BSC, was elected to a three-year term.

Jim Scherr, Chair/West Virginia ACT State Organization Council, made the announcement, noting that Cardwell will serve as the state organization’s primary point of contact with institutions and/or organizations that elect to participate in its work and will be the designated recipient of information from, and assistance by the state organization. He will also serve as a channel of communication between the state organization and key officials at the state and national level.

His additional duties include facilitating participation in special pilot or research projects sponsored by the state organization or ACT serving on the Council or Executive Committee for the state organization.
