BSC Students/Faculty Participating
in Yellowstone National Park
Ecology and Fly Fishing Institute

(Bluefield)—For one week, three Bluefield State College students and one faculty member will be learning in one of the world’s largest “living laboratories,” Yellowstone National Park. Students Dustin Gregg, Kevin Pruitt, and Adrian Scott, and John M. White, Assistant Dean/School of Arts & Sciences, and Assistant Professor/Geography are participating in the Institute on Ecology and Fly Fishing, sponsored by the Yellowstone.

“The Institute has evolved into a highly respected educational program, offering diverse and in-depth opportunities in ecology and geography throughout the Yellowstone area,” noted White. “In addition to the Institute, we will be making other educational stops along the way across the country and back.”

The BSC contingent’s itinerary includes visits to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota, the Madison County Eco System in Montana, Bryce Canyon in Utah, the Zion National Forest and Capital Reef in Utah, and both Monument Valley and the North and South Rims of the Grand Canyon in Arizona. Students will receive three hours’ credit in Physical Geography 304 upon successfully completing the two-week trip.
