For the tenth consecutive year, students in the Bluefield State College Criminal Justice Club attended the annual American Jail Association (AJA) Training Conference and Jail Expo. The students viewed more than 800 exhibits at this year’s event in Nashville, TN.
Ten BSC students and Assistant Professor Shelia Hallman-Warner, Criminal Justice Club Advisor Shelia Hallman-Warner, participated in the five-day conference. “The conference gave our students the opportunity to attend sessions detailing current issues in the field of corrections,” Hallman-Warner said. “The AJA conference is a great way for students to learn at workshops conducted by experts, and at the same time, gain insight from the experiences of individuals and organization representatives they met at the event.”
