North Carolina Coal Institute Scholarship

Rachel Ellis

(Bluefield)—Rachel Ellis, a Bluefield State College student majoring in Mining Engineering Technology, has been selected to receive the 2007 North Carolina Coal Institute Scholarship from the BSC School of Engineering Technology and Computer Science.

Ellis, a resident of Glen Rogers, WV and a graduate from Wyoming East High School, received the scholarship in recognition of her outstanding academic performance. She is also a member of the BSC women’s basketball team.

She is the daughter of Tony and Sharon Ellis, of Glen Rogers.
