(Bluefield)— More than 60 Bluefield State College students participated in the “Wendell G. Hardway Library Scavenger Hunt Quiz,” at BSC. The activity was developed to introduce students to the basic services offered at the library, according to Nancy Adam Turner, Reference, Government, and Instruction Librarian. “The quiz is a fun way to show the student community how to use the library and gain a better understanding of how the library can be a valuable resource for them.”
Among the winners (pictured above, left-to-right) are Khalid Al Harthi, Pam Burge, Eric Guyton, Jamie Echols (top prize winner), and Aaron Jones. (Other prize winners, not pictured, include Krystal Davis, David Clydham, Matt Perdue, Safiaeytou Demba, and Jodi Harkness.)
“Through this quiz, we hope to get the students more involved in the library,” added Peggy Turnbull, the Hardway Library’s Interim Director. We want them to gain familiarity with the avenues available to them for collecting information needed to conduct research and complete their studies.”
