BSC Student Meagan King Receives
WV Nurses Association Scholarship

Meagan King

(Bluefield)—Bluefield State College student Meagan King has been selected to receive the West Virginia Nurses Association (WVNA) scholarship and will be recognized at the organization’s “100 Year Gala” on October 19 in Charleston.

A second year student in BSC’s Associate Degree Nursing program, King is president of the College’s Student Nurses Association and is an active community service volunteer. “I’m grateful for the support of my advisor, (BSC Assistant Professor of Nursing) Sherry Williams and each of the faculty members in the program,” King commented. “Our faculty are genuinely concerned about our success. This scholarship will permit me to focus upon my studies because it relieves some of the financial challenges associated with attending college.”

King is the daughter of Sherri and Barry King of Princeton, WV.
