Former National Park Service Ranger/
Retired Professor to Teach
“The American Frontier” Course
on Saturdays this Summer at BSC


(Bluefield)—Retired Bluefield State College professor James Worsham, a former National Park Ranger, will teach a course, "The American Frontier" this summer on five Saturdays at BSC.

Worsham,  who has researched frontier history as well as serving as a historian at two frontier national parks , will teach the summer school course, beginning with a six-hour presentation on May 31.  The Saturday classes will allow those who are working to attend the course, which is scheduled approximately every other Saturday over the summer.

The course also will include a day-long visit on the 4th of July to Ft. Whitten Museum for Living History presentations.
