BSC Jazz Ensemble Winter Concert

(Bluefield)--The Bluefield State College Jazz Ensemble will present its annual Winter Concert on Sunday, December 13, at 3 p.m., in the Basic Science Auditorium on the BSC campus. The event is open to the public, free of charge.

The 20-piece ensemble, organized in 1970, is a combination of area musicians dedicated to the performance of the finest jazz arrangements and the traditional "big band" sound.  Some of the ensemble's musicians have been members of the band for most of its 39 years.

The BSC Jazz Ensemble has performed throughout the Virginias and North Carolina, including a performance at the inaugural ball of former Virginia Governor Gerald Baliles.
