BSC to Offer National Registry
EMT-Paramedic Program

Bluefield State College will conduct a two-semester National Registry EMT-Paramedic Program, beginning August 25. The program will utilize the U.C. Department of Transportation's National Standard Training Curriculum for EMT-Paramedics.

Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Completion from BSC and will qualify to take the National Registry Paramedic Examination. The program will combine classroom lectures with clinical rotations at local hospitals and ambulance service, as well as assorted skill labs.

Applicants must have earned a high school diploma or GED, have a current West Virginia or National Registry EMT certification by August 25, and must pass an EMT-B written examination that will be given July 21 (9 a.m. or 5 p.m.).
