BSC Offers Safe Baby-Sitting Course June 23-24

A two-day "Safe Baby-Sifting Course," for boys and girls (ages 11 -1 5) will be presented at Bluefield State College, June 23-24. The program utilizes the curriculum of the nationally-certified "Safe Baby-Sitting Course," and will be taught by Kathy Linkous, R.N., B.S.N., M.S.N., Assistant Professor of Nursing at BSC.

Instruction will include techniques of infant CPR, general safe baby-sitting practices dealing with toddlers, infants, preschoolers, and school-age children, tips for answering the phone and door, safe foods for young children, and some discipline guidelines.

Cost of registration is $20 (of which $10 goes for teaching materials). Instruction will take place 10:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each day in Dickason Hall on the BSC campus.
