BSC Radiologic Technology Students Win
Essay Competition

Three Bluefield State College Radiologic Technology students won top honors during the recent West Virginia Society of Radiologic Technologists Annual Conference at Pipestem State Park. The competition was open to all students in radiology programs in West Virginia.

Leta Crews of Princeton, WV won the first place prize of $100 and a plaque for her paper on "Pneumoconiosis." Wendy Whitt of Tazewell, VA was awarded second place ($75 and a plaque) for her paper, "Female Breast Cancer," and Lori East of Rock, WV received third place honors ($50 and a plaque) for per paper, "Breast Cancer."

The award winners are second year students in the radiologic technology program at BSC. Prizes were donated by AMIS Systems, Inc. (Huntington, WV). Judges for the paper competition were David Gilmore, A.S., R.T.(R)(N), Roanoke, VA; Elizabeth B. Myers, B.S., R.T.(R), Tazewell, VA; and Jo Beyer, A.S., R.T.(N). ovember 19, 1998
