More than 160 scholarship donors, recipients and family members attended the 2007 Scholarship Recognition Dinner on April 26, 2007. Dr. Don Caudill, professor and chair of Organizational Management & Leadership and E-Business & Entrepreneurship at Bluefield College in Virginia, was the featured speaker. Dr. Caudill endowed the Brian A. Delp Service Award for a graduating senior who demonstrates dedication to community service and academic achievement in memory of a student who was killed in a traffic accident in 2002 while Dr. Caudill was a professor of marketing at BSC.
Samuel and Carla Delp, Brian’s parents, announced the endowment of another scholarship in Brian’s memory to honor his athletic achievements. The Brian A. Delp Humanitarian Athletic Award is presented to an outstanding student-athlete each year. As the endowment grows, the award will be made to a male and a female who demonstrate commitment to their studies and their community as well as athletic prowess.
