Bluefield State College's Associate Degree Nursing class of 1996 achieved the highest Registered Nurse (RN) licensure passage rate of any nursing program in West Virginia.
Data released by the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses showed BSC 1996 A.S. Nursing grads taking the exam for the first time (October 1, 1995 - September 30, 1996) achieved a 95.45% passage rate, best among the 19 nursing programs in West Virginia.
Successful completion of the NCLEX-RN provides licensure for the graduate to practice as a registered nurse. BSC's A.S. Nursing program is offered at the College's Bluefield and Beckley campuses.
