The Bluefield State College Foundation is a nonprofit corporation, established in 1969, and guided by a board of directors comprised of community leaders and supports of the college. The board consists of twenty-eight elected members. Each member serves a term of four years. The terms are staggered so that each year the terms of seven directors expire.
