Creative Retirement Center's

The Creative Retirement Center has an e-mail address at Bluefield State College. The e-mail address is retire@bluefieldstate.edu. Bluefield State College's Creative Retirement Center sent two representatives to the American Association of Retirement Communities Annual Conference. The thrust of the conference was to help community representatives get an idea of what will be needed to be done in the area to attract retirees.

Lions Club Donation

The Lions Club of Bluefield, West Virginia, has donated $413 to the "Big Blue Fund" for athletic shcolarships. This club co-sponsors with BSC the Currence Classic, an annual men's basketball tournament.

Endowed Chair in Engineering Technology

A campaign for the endowed chair in Engineering technology will begin Fall '98. It is so important to BSC that outstanding faculty guide our students into the 21st century. The endowed chair permits the College to attract and retain the brightest and the best faculty in the field in which the chair is endowed. Since 1991, we have established an endowed chairs in business and nursing.
