WELCOME

The Archives Department was established in 1992 and is located in the Wendell G. Hardway Library. Our mission is to collect, care for, interpret, promote, and make available the unique historical resources in our care.  These materials document the history of administrative and academic units and the activities of our faculty, staff, and students.

President Gregory Adkins established the Archives in 1992 in preparation for Bluefield State's Centennial Celebration 1895- 1995. The collection is located on the second floor of the Wendell G. Hardway Library.

Anyone wishing to visit the Archives should make an appointment with the Archivist at (304) 327-4053 or 4605 or by writing to us at Bluefield State.
