Do I need an outside Email address to take an online course?
Any Email address can be used as a point of contact. Most instructors use WebCT mail, inside your course, to communicate with you. As a student, you will need an Email address in order to receive your WebCT login information. This information can be sent to your BSC Email account. BSC recommends that students use the Email account provided by Bluefield State College. If your desire to use another Email address, you may need to notify the Instructional Technology Center.

What do I do if I get kicked offline in the process of taking an exam?
Contact your professor.  If the professor is unable to retrieve your answers, it will be necessary to contact WebCT technical support at BSC.  There are a number of technical variables that will determine wether or not your answers have been lost.  The WebCT technician will be able to determine the necessary steps to be taken in order to ensure that your exam is properly submitted and/or retrieved.
