Course Overview

Geography 302 is an undergraduate course that explores Anglo-America (the United States of America and Canada we will emphasize). The course places emphasis on economic growth and development, cultural and social features, political characteristics, and distinguishing topography. We will exam the diversity within North America.  It is a survey of major geographic regions of North America; an analysis of the economic activities in their relations to the natural environment; and a study of the interrelations between unit areas.

Grading System

Assignments/Participation via email 10% of Final Grade
14 Quizzes 20% of Final Grade
Research Project 20% of Final Grade
Final Exam 50% of Final Exam

A = 90 - 100 %
B = 80 - 89 %
C = 70 - 79 %
D = 60 - 69 %
F = 0 - 59 %

There will be 14 quizzes,  class assignments, a research project on an instructor approved topic that will be placed in the form of a minimum of a ten slide PowerPoint presentation with at least three sources, and a comprehensive final that will be held on BSC's Bluefield Campus during final exam time.

Attendance Policy

Since this is an online course, there is no attendance policy.
