The purpose of the Professional Development Schools program is to improve teacher quality, not only during initial preparation, but throughout a teacher’s career. The Professional Development Schools and the college work collaboratively to be centers of inquiry, sites of best practice and empowered communities that have a special interest in promoting the learning of all students and reducing any achievement gaps.
