I am an Assistant Nursing Professor in the Associate Degree Nursing Program and an RN, NP in the campus Health Center. I have been an RN for 45 years. I graduated from BSU nursing program in 1978 and continued my education at West Virginias University for a BSN, MSN, and post-certificate family nurse practitioner. My nursing experiences include medical-surgical nursing, Maternity and Newborn nursery, mental health, and acute dialysis and trauma. I have worked at Princeton Community Hospital and Bluefield Regional Hospital; Roanoke Memorial in Roanoke Va, St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, Tn; and CAMC (Memorial) in Charleston, WV. I have taught at Mountain State University, West Virginia University, Radford University, and currently at Bluefield State University. I currently teach the mental health and Maternity and Women’s Health
nursing classes on the BSU campus,
as well as a variety of clinicals with nursing students.
